Passing
Passing #1
Set up: two squares with one player in each and one player(defender) between the squares.
Drill: the purpose of the exercise is to change passes between players without the middle player (defender) intercepting the pass, if he intercepts the defender changes
Progression 1: the middle player can go in the square to try to steal the ball and play 2v1 in the space of the two squares
Coaching point:
- Show up
- create a passing line
- Good passes
- Move the ball fast
Passing #2
Set Up: Big square, players inside with a ball and players outside without ball
Drill: With the inside players with the ball, pass and receive back and drive the ball inside the square and look for another player outside the square available to receive
Progression 2: Pass, run behind the players you passed the ball and receive it in the future point
Progression 3: Pass to the outside players and switch positions: who receive the ball dribble in, who did the pass runs out.

Passing #3
Set up: Cones diagonally positioned and players in each cone
Drill: The goal is to pass the ball diagonally and follow the pass and the last line have to receive the ball and dribble fast to the first line.
Progression 1: Players have to try one touch pass
Coaching point:
- Make a look before the pass
- Good passes
- move fast
- Use inside foot to pass the ball
Passing #4
Set up: 3 lines like a triangle and a cone in the middle
Drill: The players have to dribble the ball to the middle cone and pass the ball to the other line and follow the pass. Who will receive the ball have to receive the ball moving forward out the triangle with one touch.
Progression 1: Who will receive the ball have to receive the ball with one touch but to the sides
Coaching point:
- Good pass
- Heads up before pass the ball
- Good first touch
Passing #5
Set Up: Put cones as a line and one player with a ball beside each cone
Drill: It’s a game of two teams, and the goal is to knock down the opponents' cones. Whoever do it first in X minutes, have to knocks the middle ball down, on the top of a cone, to win the game. If any team knocks down the middle ball without knock down all the cones, lose 1 cone and the coach put the middle ball back.
Rules: You can’t defend your cones
Coaching Points:
- Aim the cone (accuracy)
- Get the balls
- Target the cone
Passing #6
Set up: Make 3 lines with at least 2 players each line
Drill: The sequence of combination of passes, always have a side pass and the player who gave the pass goes in the middle check in diagonally and receives the pass and change line as shown in the video
Coaching points:
- Quality pass with inside fut
- After the side pass check in right after in the middle and ask for the ball
- Heads up
Passing #7
Set up: Make 4 lines with at least 2 players each line
Drill: The sequence of combination of passes, always have a side pass and the player who gave the pass goes in the middle check in diagonally and receives the pass and change line as shown in the video
Coaching points:
- Quality pass with inside fut
- After the side pass check in right after in the middle and ask for the ball
- Heads up
Passing #8
Set up: Make as much lines as needed for you have 3 players each line as shown the video
Drill: As it is a warm up exercise, it only started with dribbling for 1 or 2 min. soon after starting by driving to the middle and giving the pass and changing line, then adds the given goal.
Coaching points:
- Pass inside foot
- Before you pass the ball make a look and target where you have to send the ball
- Heads up
- Pass and show up with a good body position to make the give and goal
